Can I get paid to take care of a family member?

Yes, a caregiver can get paid for taking care of a family member as long as :

  1. The care recipient is not the legal spouse of the caregiver.
  2. The care recipient is under the age of 18 and a parent is the caregiver. Parents can be caregivers as long as the child is over 18 years old.
